During the holidays I went to Alaska for two weeks of fun! It was a winter wonderland and I went snowboarding everyday. Heres the video edit of my adventures!

And some photos of the beauty!

This week I had the privilege of creating an institutional holiday illustration for PNCA! I was given a bicycle to work with that was made by three applied Craft and Design Students who are in the MFA program there. My illustration will be made into cards with the quote “Powered by Creativity and Collaboration.” I was really interested in working with a festive color palette and detailed line work! This is what I came up with:

Here is the bike created by Andrew Lonnquist MFA ’12 Karl Ramentol MFA ’12 and David Boekelheide MFA ’11:

This November I have had the opportunity to do some Typography for !
Shred Betties has started this new program to help at risk moms get there kids on the hill and teach them some skills! We dicussed the logo for the program “Moms on Board” would need to be designed for many different applications such as logo, web banner use, diecut stickers, and as a t shirt graphic. These are some of the designs I sent them to choose from:

I also did some “Shred Betties” typography for printing on apparel:

I recently finished a mural for a Portland based hair salon called Bishops Barbershop.

Why we Ride

I’ve been obsessed with taking photos this summer in PDX. Heres just a few from this week. My vintage cruiser and bff @ Park of Roses in NE. Skate Date at Pier Park. Fresh strawberries from my garden. Cycle trip with Josh Ramp to skate in Hood River (damn ur ass gets numb riding over an hour co-pilot on a 1979 yamaha 650). Beautiful ride through the Gorge though. Oh, and it was my dog Bakers 5th B-day too, sparkles and all.

I created this card to send to all the lovely people who supported me throughout the last few monthes as I was creating my thesis work, fed me and loaned me money during this stressful time, and gave me awesome graduation gifts. I couldn’t have done it without them!

I competed in the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour Finals in @ Pioneer Square inPortland, OR.
It was rainy and wet, but the sun kept breaking through randomly to give us some good shots of the features!
I ended up getting second place! Pretty stoked.
